What this is, and what it is not

Bookkeeping prices split cleanly at the headcount line, and the split is visible in the published ladders. Read from vendor pricing pages on 30 August 2026, software with nobody behind it tops out around $360 a month. The moment a person is attached, entry pricing runs $299 to $549 and does not come back down.

Nothing unstaffed sells above $360 and nothing fully staffed starts below $395. That band is the cost of a person and nothing else, and it is the whole reason to build this: the monthly work is repetitive, has a right answer, and is charged for by the hour.

Whether that is a large enough reason is a question the product has to answer rather than the marketing. The test that decides it has not been run yet, and it is named below.

The product stands or falls on one measurement: how much of a real bank feed gets categorised correctly without asking. Above roughly ninety per cent the review queue is minutes a month and the price is honest. Below it, this becomes a staffed service without the staff, which is worse than either thing on its own.

That test is ninety days of real transactions from three businesses, and it has not been run. Until it has, there is no accuracy figure on this site: not in the hero, not on a pricing card, not in a proof panel. Competitors publish theirs and are entitled to, having measured it.

It will not guess at a transaction whose treatment depends on something only the owner knows. A payment with no matching deposit and no receipt could be an owner draw or a transfer, and the two land in different places on a profit and loss. Those are raised as questions and stay exceptions until answered, rather than being coded on a guess.

It will not force a reconciliation to zero. An account that does not agree with its statement closes with the break named, on the account it belongs to, with both sides of the difference. A plug entry produces a clean report and removes the control the report exists to be.

Ledger at $149 a month, Close at $390 a month, Controller at $790 a month, banded on monthly expense volume rather than on seats: up to $25,000 a month, up to $150,000 a month, up to $500,000 a month, with everyone in the business included on every rung. A seat costs nothing to serve and a transaction costs a model call, so seats would be the wrong meter.

A free rung is planned and is not on the page, for the same reason as everything else here: free is the one rung somebody could try to use the day they read about it, and there is nothing yet to let them into.
